I bought the Venetian mask directly from the craftsman who made it in Venice. I love this link with the historical past of Venice, when at Carnival everyone would disguise themselves and get up to who knows what with who knows who! Venice has inspired artists for centuries with its unique architecture and canals. For most of europe it was the pricipal connection with the Orient, and for that reason I love the combination of the mask with the Japanese Silk Kimono. The vase is a Japanese design from the ceramic studio of Zsolnay, circa 1927.
