Francesca sunlit in a Venetian Palace
In this female photography, Francesca is bathed in Venetian sunlight,in a bedroom in a Venetian palace. In the background is a 14th century Venetian consul table , with a lovely antique mirror and two candles above. Placing candles in front of mirrors was a typical device to increase the lighting level in a room. I love the pattern in the leaded windows softly defused by the flooding light.

The angle of the bed gives a slightly informal feeling, in contrast to the rather grand interior. The particular quality of light in Venice is of course is largely due to the canals reflecting light up wards from the sunlight striking the water below. The colours of the Romeo stage costume harmonise perfectly with the wallpaper and general colouring of the room. It's a mistake to introduced too many different colours into your photography. If you want to keep an elegant and refined feeling throughout your work.
