Few people familiar with Patric's oil paintings would realise his other passion, female photography. Inspired in his youth by the work of David Hamilton, Patric introduced elements of David Hamilton's unique style into his Ballet paintings. It was while posing and photographing models for his Ballet paintings that Patric fell in love with fine art photography.

It was actually while watching a David Hamilton film "Bilitis", set in the south of France, which Patric saw as a penniless young man in his early twenties, that he first dreamed of moving to live there.

It was only after success as a painter that he could afford to make the move, at the age of forty.

So now the photography has overtaken the Ballet painting in importance, especially now that Epson have introduced Archival quality color printing, using light fast pigment based inks.
